Horrific Hauntings : The Moreno Valley Poltergeist Part I

 In 2006, Susan Lewis and her daughter Jaime moved into a new house in Southern California. They liked this beautiful little house so much that they called it their sanctuary. Shortly after they moved in, Susan’s boyfriend Matt moved in with them and he got along really well with Jaime. Also, Matt had a daughter named Marie who was the same age as Jaime and these two enjoyed each other’s company. This beautiful little family were living a peaceful life in their new house but things would start to flip for the worse just in a few weeks' time because of an entity in the house.

Weird Things on Strange Places

 A few weeks after moving in, Matt, Jaime and Marie were playing in the pool while Susan headed into the kitchen to make food for the group. As she entered, she found a titled over can on the kitchen slab. As she walked towards it, she understood that it was a peanut butter can but the peanut butter inside it was dripping down as if someone has melted it and poured it out intentionally.

 She called Jaime and Marie to check if it was the work of the kids but they outright rejected the claim. Thinking that one of them was the culprit and they were not owning their mistake she cleaned the mess up. She did not confront the kids as she did not want to spoil the mood. She packed the food and went back to the pool to join the rest of the family.

 When they returned back into the house in the evening, they found that things in the house were placed in strange places in weird patterns. In the bathroom, shampoo bottles were stacked on top of each other and hair brushes were arranged in a star pattern. Inside the microwave oven were random canned foods and stuffed animals from the kids’ rooms. The cleaning materials under the sink were arranged in line with their height on the kitchen floor. Also, there were strange liquids all over the walls along with shampoo and soap.

 This weirdness made the family think that they had invaders in their house. Matt and Susan went around filming the scene in hopes of finding the invaders but no one was found. Matt started suspected Jaime was behind this incident and Susan suspected that it was Marie. This resulted in a dirty conflict between them. Instead of reaching out to the police, they just played the blame game.

Susan starts believing in the paranormal

 A week after this incident, Marie was in Jamie’s room doing her homework while Jaime was sipping on a cup of coffee. As she had a sudden urge to urinate, she placed the coffee cup on her table and went into the bathroom. When she came out of the bathroom, she found coffee spilt all over the bed with the coffee cup lying right on top of it. Jaime instantly put the blame on Marie as she was the only other person in the room but Marie was so focused on her work that she only lifted her head when Jaime shouted at her.

 So, Jaime went out of her room, took a bottle of bleach to clean the mess and got back into her room. She placed the bleach bottle on the floor and got on top of her bed to pick up the coffee cup. When she got down from her bed, she noticed that her closet drawers were opened along with the bleach bottle and the bleach was poured all over her folded clothes. Even this time, Jaime was sure that Marie was the one behind this and she started screaming at her.

 Hearing her screams, Susan walked into her room to check what was disturbing her. As soon as she entered, s picture on the wall fell down. While Susan stood there thinking it was normal, another painting fell off the wall. The three of them instinctively ran out of the house. They got into the car and Susan started driving it away from the house. Once their fear settled, they returned back to the house.

 When they got back into the house, just like a few weeks back, there were food cans all over the stairs. Since both her daughters were with her, Susan understood that they were actually innocent and the three of them were strongly convinced that something was wrong with the house.

 When Matt returned from work, Susan and the girls explained to him everything that happened in the house that day but being the harsh critic he is, he shooed them away. He told Susan that the girls were just pranking her and she was feeding them what they wanted. This slowly turned into a heated argument and they went to the bed angry. That night the doors were opening and shutting close and the burner was being turned on and off continuously. While this sound kept ringing throughout the house, Susan, Marie and Jamie covered themselves up in horror but Matt felt that it was the work of one of the girls.

An Amateur Seance

 The next day, Susan talked about her sufferings to one of her friends who suggested she offer a sacrifice to the entity in their house and plead with it to not disturb them. Despite not completely believing that this would help them, she decided to try it out. She was not exactly sure about the sacrifice she had to give and made a cat figure to be used as an offering. When Matt was not in the house, she placed this cat figure she had made on the table in the middle of a few lit-up candles.
