Disconcerting Demons : Lilith, The Great Empress of Hell
Lilith, the first wife of Adam, refused to obey Adam and ended up leaving the garden of Eden. She later became the Mother of demons and the all-powerful empress of Hell. She is an Archdemon and the proclaimed mother of all demons in hell. Lilith is also called the daughter of wrath, as she was often treated by Satan as his daughter.
Lilith
is the only female demon to reach the rank of an empress which is nearly
identical to Lucifer and Satan in authority. Being the ultimate empress of all
demons, she is already considered a demon lord of the highest order. She
possesses tremendous supernatural powers which, are past the understanding of lesser demonic beings, and an unchallenged dominion over a large part
of hell. On top of her humongous powers, she rules over hell and its legions of
horrors when Lucifer or Satan is not present, making her one of the most
dangerous threats to humans.
She pretended to be a devoted advisor for the
Goddess Ishtar who gave her the name of the "Second Hand of Ishtar" which is a
testimony of her seductive and manipulative nature. She is also said to be the creator
of the Turok-Han, a dangerous type of Vampire, and as a result revered as the “Mother
of Vampires”.
Appearance
Lilith is an impeccably lovely and
well-endowed lady, often described as the embodiment of feminine beauty along
with Eve. Lilith had platinum blonde hair, fair skin, and vivid blue eyes. She
stood at six feet and three inches tall.
After being driven out of the Garden of Eden
and becoming a demon, Lilith gained the potential to shift her feminine form
from completely human to a demonic monster. Her humanoid form commonly has red
eyes, black curved horns, and 12 darkish angel and devil wings. Lilith's hair
darkened drastically, having a blackish red coloration along with her skin
turning mild brown. Her eyes, which used to be blue, became darkish yellow. Her
hair is also described as being the "night-time sky carefully woven on her
head" which is also because of her shapeshifting into an owl, a nocturnal animal,
and her ultimate transformation into a demon of the night. Her sclera is red
with yellow irises and black pupils.
Abilities
- Supernatural Strength & Power: Lilith possesses colossal strength and power, having the capability to order all the dominions and legions of demons. She is even more powerful than demon gods like Argoxas and Mundus. However, some beings can exceed her power, like Satan and Lucifer.
- Supernatural Reproduction: Lilith can procreate different entities. She can reproduce any entity, being it a common one to a completely new entity with powers that originated from her. She could have offspring through supernatural techniques or natural reproduction with a partner.
- Asexual Reproduction: She can reproduce without the requirement of a companion or mate. She birthed countless demons without having intercourse with the male that she had affairs with.
- Master Magician & Sorceress: Lilith possesses terrifying skills in magic, historic spells, rituals, and deadly black arts. She is one of the demons of a noble rank, who can induce powerful spells that can imprison other strong beings.
- Lust Inducement: Lilith can induce lust into human beings. This lust could be either on herself or on another person. Those influenced by this ability might develop a robust infatuation for any individual however, she will remain on top of things herself. They'll experience so much lust for any individual that they have an excessive desire to take them as their own, becoming completely possessive over them that can lead to a much worse scenario like rape or murder.
Origins
At
the start, Lilith used to be unbiased, mild, amicable, but brash and entitled,
the latter of which led to her rejection of Adam's advances, mainly when he
would try to lay on top of her during sexual intercourse. Lilith's view of this
turned out to be that despite being made from the equal primordial material as
Adam, being underneath him and only 2nd was annoying. She proclaimed that if
she was identical to Adam then she might be handled the same, an ancient
feminist ain't she?
Due to Adam's disagreement with her ideology,
Lilith fled the "Garden of Eden" for her independence. God sent 3
angels namely Senoi, Sansenoi, and Sammangelof, to bring her back. These angels
located Lilith in a cave bearing kids. However, Lilith refused to return
because of which, the angels told her that they would kill a hundred of her
children every day for her disobedience. In revenge, she is said to kill babies
and is held liable for the deaths of newborns. This made Lilith totally abandon
God and seeded her hatred toward the divine.
Sooner or later, Lilith befriended an abyssal
creature called Tanin'iver who became her accomplice. Tanin'iver then led
Lilith to the archangel Samael, who was cast out from the mountain of God due
to his misanthropic perspectives on humanity. Even though he was initially hostile
towards Lilith since she turned out to be a human, he stated
that serving Adam being her supposedly sole purpose of living was a
"farce" and a blindfold to prevent her from seeing bigger things.
After the fall of the angels and Lilith
completely ending her relationship with heaven and humanity, she eloped with
Samael, the fallen archangel, and the two have been stated to have made love
within a cave, which led to Lilith giving birth to many Lilims, whom Lilith
individually raised and trained. Upon knowing the sinful deeds of Lilith and
Samael, God castrated Samael and punished him for treachery.
Due to Samael's imprisonment, she had an
affair with Asmodeus, procreating demonic offspring and spreading chaos every
time. Later on, Lilith rose dramatically in the ranks by turning into the only
known Queen of the Inferno as well by tying the knot with Lucifer, who crowned
himself the emperor of hell.
Modern Accounts
- During the Victorian era, Lilith was apparently in a sexual relationship with Benedict Lightwood, contributing to his demon pox. She was with benedict at his own birthday party inside the lightwood mansion, where Tessa Gray defined her as a demon woman with snakes for eyes.
- Sometime within the 1990s, Lilith was summoned by a young Shadowhunter, Valentine Morgenstern. Lilith agreed to give Valentine her blood for his experiments, and Lilith took an interest in the unborn baby valentine had been giving her blood to through his mother, understanding he might be a potent being more powerful than all Lilims and more robust than any Archdemon. Lilith has been reported to keep her eyes on Sebastian, whom she sees as her very own son.
